Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
We have launched several Special Interest Groups to meet our member’s needs and hope to launch more if these are successful.
Please join us for any of the following and check the calendar for more information each month:
Career Checkpoint
Each quarter we offer a Career Checkpoint session after our monthly chapter meetings. It is a 1.5 hour session where anyone in transition or considering a job change can come to network and gain insight. These sessions are always different; sometimes a facilitator speaks on a particular topic, sometimes there are career coaches and resume reviews available, and we are always open to new suggestions and ideas. This is a free event for members or non-members who attend the chapter meeting immediately preceding the Career Checkpoint. Sign up at the chapter meeting registration table. Space is limited.
Independent Consultants (New Meeting Time!)
Are you an independent service provider?
Would you like to meet and share ideas with other business owners?
The Independent Consultants’ SIG is a free, members-only benefit that’s specifically intended to help you grow your business.
If you’re self-employed (or considering it), then this group might be for you.
We’ll be talking about things like …
- Marketing
- Networking
- Business systems and processes
- Who your clients are and where you can find them
- How to find resources for everything from website development to accounting to getting unstuck to … you name it
- What social networking is and how to use it effectively
- More – based on what members want and need.
Training Fundamentals (Postponed until further notice)
The Training Fundamentals SIG is for everyone interested in gaining new skills, entering the training and development field, or simply gleaming some new ideas from those in the industry.
