]]>The purpose of this San Diego Survey is to gather and analyze local data on significant trends for workplace learning practices and investments. Our local results will be compared with data from ASTD’s national survey at the February 24th ASTD-SD Chapter meeting. We encourage non-members to also participate as we want to include valuable input from those in an HR or management role who conduct training or make decisions about training. ]]>In many organizations today if training is not a customer or regulatory requirement it likely won’t happen. As you know it is difficult at best to demonstrate training’s return on investment and even if you can, the costs are still “fronted”. An alternative to hoping for a training budget, is to create one yourself. This can be done through State and Federal funding. There are “buckets” of money available for training, if you know how to identify and tap into them.
